ZoomNotes is the most impressive note-taking app in App Store at the moment. No app can compete or even come close, so there’s really no point in comparing this app to any other note-taking app.
Books works too, but this app has another setting that allows you to override dark mode. You need to temper with that to go into full dark mode.
macOS programs can’t run on iPads. They are different operating systems, even though we now have an iPad Pro that can handle MacBook programs (theoretically).
As a paperless student, you’re on your screen for a long time. I suggest syncing your phone and tablet screen time.
